| i am. i think we'l beat arsenal- given hyypia dont mess up again. look, Carra isnt quick and i dont believe he's untouchable. and pennant.. its a question of class here: does this boy have class? if we're Birmingham FC then the answer would be YES. but this is Liverpool- the 18 time winners of england's top league, 5 time european champions. we need a Quarisma, not pennant. did you see that chance he had in the second half? he was FREEEE in the box and couldnt even control the pass when, if he just passed it to veronin (i think) would have been a certain goal. we lost that game because of defensive problems, i agree. But we had good chances to win the game, we didnt take them. also questions over our inability to PENETRATE, yes we keep the ball, but time and time again this season, and last, we could not put that final ball that slices up the defense to put our strikers in on goal. Possession without penetration is useless. And we often play teams who will be happy to sit back (like birmingham and the turkish side) and hit us on the counter. this is proving to be very effective because? we lack that final ball. | |

| thems fighting words.
Just wish Van Persie was fit.
What we have here essentially is a team brimming with confidence against one which has been on a bit of a bad run of late. Should be interesting though, you can never tell with these big games. Previous form usually goes out the window.

my friend.. Quarezma isnt going for cheap.. those mofo's wanna sell him for as much as ronaldinho or kaka ( some astronomical number ) u think rafa doesnt WANT him?? how many times has he been linked to us? but we had to go for benayoun cuz those bastards wanted too much money. anyway.. last time we played the gooooners.. we kicked their asses.. with Crouch of all people. torres should be back from injury... and also xabi alonso im just worried about our defense wish fabio aurelio was fit... riise goes forth too often 1-1 would be ideal but i think its gonna end 2-1 or even 2-0

| I beleive that if we gain some confidence back, + getting Agger, Alonso, Arbeloa and Torres back into the squad, we could become a class act.
there is the potential for this team to play good, moving and passing football, while keeping it solid at the back and finding the net up front. However lately we are not gelling. And having the likes of the above mentioned players out, does not help much. We are currently playing poorly, however we are not a poor side. So yeah, we need some work done on a psychological level. Maybe there's where we are missing Paco mostly. Who knows!!! Come on you Reds/ Let's go out and kill off a few teams from now on. Rafa has done wonders here, he doesn;t become a bad manager over a few weeks. Let's get behing him and the players and move them forward with our roars.
(still.. deep down.. i know we'll lose on sunday).. we're crap without agger defending... arsenal are too quick for the likes of hyypia, and, dare i say..... carrager

| a club like liverpool needs class to go with dedication- the boy isnt world class and we cant, and wont, challenege for the Premier League without it. it is a cruel sport this football game, but thats how it is, we need world class wingers, not pennant- that miss against the turks sums it all up for me and am glad he's injured. horrible, i knw. | |

| playing torres was a bad move.. he was injured and not up to par... whats the use of a slow torres?!!! now he's injured again :r
The Liverpool manager revealed that Xabi Alonso has suffered a recurrence of his metatarsal injury and Fernando Torres and Javier Mascherano are both nursing knocks.
Benitez said: "Unfortunately Xabi injured his metatarsal but I don't think it's as serious as the problem he had.
"Fernando was training well on Friday but it was clear that he had problems during the game. He couldn't use his pace and we didn't see the real Torres.
"And Mascherano had a kick to his foot. I will need to check with the doctor to see how the players are in the next two days."

| I see how there are some Liverpool fans who still remain positive. the fact that we are unbeaten and only are 6 points behind the leaders is not as bad as it always is. we are just slightly fortunate! liverpool have the quality, we have the manager we have everything but something isnt right. sacking benitez wont do it. we need a good assistant coach. Look at chelsea this weekend with their new coach from ajax. thats what we lack. benitez cant be the coach and the manager at the same time!! does anyone agreE? | |

| The things i disliked.I didnt like the way our players were a bit pedestrian not chasing back quickly enough and not tracking their players. It was like as if theyve never played 5-a-side. Track your goddamned players! The pass and go football that was our hallmark in the 80's is totally lost. Arsenal were playing two touch football. But i dont know if it was just me, everytime an arsenal player had the ball i could see/predict where the ball was gonna go next, cept it seemed lfc players just werent with it and couldnt read the basics of the game.Everytime we had the ball we were trying to lob to the fwd players rather than playing football. We couldnt pass quick enough the quality of passing and movement was so poor, the vision wasnt there. It was like 11 strangers playing togethor. So far as team selection goes, i was aghast at Babel/Benyaoun not starting. What is Benitez playing at?Torres selection was too risky and so it proved. Crouch shouldve started. END OF.All in all, non of the issues are insurmountable. The one thing we have learned in this match is that Arsenal are a stunning team, they will destroy teams this season. We were lucky to have survived. | |

| very lucky indeed. alonso was doin so well, so assured in his passing he actually resembled arsenal players, we clearly missed his presence.. and we gona miss him again. mascherano played well i thought, strong and uncompromising as usual, Hyypia (out of all) played well and didnt let us down. WHAT THE HELL WAS GERRARD DOING PLAYING ON THE LEFT FLANK?? did anybody see that or was it my eyes playing games with me every time we play against arsenal, they expose our defenders lack of pace; Finnan and riise. Riise loves going forward, not good enough defensively, and Finnan is a hard worker who is slow AND IN HIS 30s . Where was Veronin crouch, is only good winning areal battles, had a decent shot but when he was given the ball on the counter, his lack of pace shows how useless he really is. i did think he had a decent game tactically with the headers and flicks he was doing. the second half we sat back and defended, defended and did more defending to the extent that Arsenal looked like the home team. Problem is, you have to attack arsenal to get something out of them, sitting back and relying on counter attacks does not suit players like Benayon and Kyut which begs the question why did he not choose babble? and why the hell was Kyut playing on the right? i knw what you'l say bout kyut, but i didnt see him do anything all game, apart frm chasing balls, arsenal players toyed with him with their one two's. and with these injuries to alonso (we really have missed him) mascherano (so dependable) and Torres (our best striker), with Agger already out, our entire defense is slow.. we will have problems this season. man, i always get depressed after watching us against arsenal because we lack the exact thing they have in bags- pace and understanding between their players. they play the type of football i would love for us to play. | |

| yeah.. i was expecting babel.. but i dont know whats happening with him. maybe we'll see him start in the next match.. since torres is out teee... MASCHERANO WAS A MONSTER!! 10/10 im trying very hard to be optimistic.. 6 points is not so bad... and we havent lost we're better than last year but injuries really messed rafa up | |

| thank god rafa signed him... he should DEFINITELY renew his contract at the end of the year ( i think thats when it expires )
im trying HARD.. VERY HARD to think of CBs and RWs/LWs for rafa to buy
besides quarezma.. who should we get?
i remember offering mancini... and gabi heinze ( fuck furgeson! )
i guess rafa really wanted a winger and CB from the start of the season ( imagine if gabi was here... do u think we'd be losing the way we were????)
heck... we would've beaten arsenal i think... cuz he would've stuck to cesc like glue
