| Who do you think will win? England have home advantage but will probably be without Becks and Owen.
Germany, imho, are one of, if not the, best team in Europe at the moment.
Thoughts? | |

| Germany? the BEST in europe?
where did italy/france/portugal/spain go?
personally, id put germany on par with spain... the other 3 NTs are stronger imo.
becks and owen are over.... i admire both players, but i think becks should seriously consider retiring from international football, and just ley back, relax, and enjoy himself in CA.
id love to see Pennant have a go at his position.. he's improved a lot since last season.. and with some competition from yossi at club level, JP should get even better.
my prediction..... 1-1
klose and crouchy | |

| At the moment i meant. They are the most consistent performers and have been hitting some good displays in qualifiers.
e.g. Portugal are 3rd in a relatively weak qualifying group. I'd say France are getting past it a bit, that world cup squad from 1998 are all about to retire and Italy aren't all that in attack.
I agree with regards to Becks and Owen, but Becks has been pretty good recently. Owen England can do without. Pennant is an interesting iption come to think of it.
But yeah, a draw sounds about right.

| as long as mclaren is manager, i seriously doubt the team will improve much
what will it take to sack him? getting kicked out of euro08!

| Terrible, terrible choice. If they were so insistent on an English manager they should have at least given it to Sam Allardyce. | |

| big sam is way better imo... they need to stop fooling around, just pick a proper manager... and give him enough time to work with the team. SAF would be interesting ... after he retires from ManU and hands it down to Querez speaking of manUre.. where the fuck are the fans around here? they won the commi shield.. chelsea lose on PKs... again :p god thats gotta hurt their pride. | |

| Heh, i can't imagine a Scot managing the England team.
As for the Man Utd fans...probably all in Korea and Japan...

| All the players that go to Chelsea just want money. Cashley Cole, Sean Wright-Phillips etc.
SWP ruined his career by choosing Chelsea over Arsenal.

| Funny, but quite harsh chant regarding SWP, think by Charlton fans:
"Where's your real dad? Where's your real dad!?"

| Actually I believe Germany is the best team in Europe as well. They have an amazing mix of players and Italy vs Germany at the WC was in my opinion the 2nd best game after Portugal and England. I believe Europe ranks are the following: Germany, Italy, Netherlands,France, Portugal, England, Spain. | |

| Germany have always been strong, their world rankings went down a bit because they didn't have to qualify for the last world Cup. | |

| Nah, Germany i think are the strongest team...at least performance wise at the moment. Maybe on paper other teams appear better.
As for the game, was bloody terrible. Was sitting in a bar in Germany. Was nicht gut. Had to hold my tongue thoough when England scored first...
