Moratti: Ibra Deserves Golden Ball, Not Kaka

The Swedish superstar has had a scintillating start to the season,
already scoring seven goals in Serie A and four in the Champions
League.
Last year he was also instrumental in leading the Nerazzurri to their first Scudetto on the pitch since 1989.
Despite this, AC Milan phenomenon Kaka is the odds-on favourite to
win next month’s prestigious Ballon d’Or prize, something that Moratti
completely disagrees with.
“Who says it is too late for Zlatan? He is the best striker in the world,” the Nerazzurri chief told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Ibra deserves the prize more than anyone and he would be a good choice.”
Several Italian news sources last week reported that Kaka had won
and that Milan were already organising travel arrangements for him to
pick up his award.
The likes of Andrea Pirlo, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are
likely to fight out it out for second and third place at the December 2
ceremony.

Ummm ... Kaka practically took his team all the way to lifting that CL trophy ... excuse me Moratti but what did your Zlatan do ? Win the scudetto with 4 main contenders eliminated out of the race right from the start ? lol even so if TOTTI wasn't nominated after scoring 26 goals then your Ibra sure as hell shouldn't be considered !

Congrats to Kaka .. Golden ball winner hands down ..

Moratti .. go balance your accounting books

Adriano Sent For Rehab In Brazil

The Brazilian marksman has had a nightmare spell on-and-off the
pitch for the past 18 months and recently admitted that he is still
suffering from depression.

‘The Emperor’ has made just four appearances for Inter this season
and has not played a single minute in the last three Serie A matches
against Palermo, Genoa and Juventus.

Nerazzurri boss Roberto Mancini has made it abundantly clear that
Adriano has no space in his squad in his current condition and the
25-year-old has now jetted off to his home country for clinical
treatment.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Adriano is expected to return
to San Siro in the first week of January, but will only remain for a
few days, after which he will be sent out on loan to another club.
The likes of Manchester City and West Ham United from the English Premiership have been heavily associated with the frontman.

Adriano Set For Arsenal?

Reports
in Italy suggest that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could be lining up
a sensational loan swoop for troubled Inter striker Adriano.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has had a nightmare spell on-and-off the
field in the past 18 months and has made just four league appearances
this season for the Nerazzurri.
Adriano, who recently admitted that he still suffers from
depression, has flown off to Brazil for clinical rehabilitation and is
not due to return to Italy until the first week in January.
Inter will then immediately invite loan offers for him and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be interested.
Wenger currently has four natural strikers in the shape of Robin Van
Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor, Eduardo Da Silva and Nicklas Bendtner. The
latter is keen to gain more first team football and may be sent out on
loan in January, thus paving the way for Adriano.
While ‘The Emperor’, who is eligible to play in the Champions
League, would move to the Emirates Stadium, out-of-favour Gunners’
midfielder Gilberto Silva would travel the other way to San Siro.
Gilberto is keen to leave Arsenal after losing his place in the team to Frenchman Matthieu Flamini.
Inter are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements as Patrick
Vieira is constantly injured, while Luis Figo is out for a number of
months after fracturing his leg.

Emotional Adriano Wants Inter Escape

With Adriano back in Brazil to undergo rehabilitation for his personal
problems, one might have thought that this would be the first step
towards his reconciling with club Inter Milan.

However, this isn't the case.

Upon his arrival in Sao Paolo, he told journalists, "I want to return to Brazil. My situation in Italy in terrible.

"I'd tell you more, but I've been banned from doing so and if I do speak then I'll be punished. Isn't that incredible?"

Adriano's long-running feud with Inter is perhaps nothing new, but what is
certainly surprising is that he seems to wish to remain in Brazil.

European clubs such as West Ham United are thought to be interested in his services, but remarks such as these will have the top Brazilian outfits
looking for a way to lure the 25 year old international to their
respective clubs.

Norberto Moreira da Silva, for example, pointed out that Santos would love to have Adriano on their books.

"I have not yet spoken to President Marcelo Teixeira and Coach Wanderley
Luxemburgo, but the idea of having Adriano on loan is a very
interesting one," said the vice-president.

"It would benefit both us and Inter.

"Adriano is a striker with great physical strength and an eye for goal. With him we would be better prepared for the Copa Libertadores."

Adriano has barely played all seasons and is still ostracised from Inter's Champions League squad.

Inter To Rival Madrid For Nasri

Real Madrid and Inter are set to hold a bidding way in order to land highly-rated Marseille youngster Samir Nasri next summer.

F.C Internazionale News 24505_news

The 20-year-old France international has labelled as the new Zidane and
clubs in England have also made their interest known with Arsenal also
said to mooting an approach.

Nasri
has stated in the past that Madrid would be his preferred destination,
appearing to leave the way open for Ramón Calderón to make their move.

But,
according to Marca, Inter have chosen Nasri as their prime target to
replace Luis Figo, preferring the French forward to Porto's Ricardo
Quaresma.

The Italian's would be prepared to try and outbid
Madrid, meaning that the price would evidently rise and Marseille could
be the main beneficiaries.

One rumour that has yet to be
verified is that Liverpool signed a first-option agreement to sign the
player when they agreed the deal with the French giants for Djibril
Cisse.

Nasri has shot into the spotlight recently at Marseille, despite breaking into the club's first team three years ago.

He
has also represented France at every youth level before winning his
first full cap in March this year in the friendly against Austria.

Inter Step Up Rubin Interest

Torino
starlet Matteo Rubin could be an Inter Milan player come next season,
according to the latest reports in the Italian press.
The Serie A champions have been tracking the left full-back since
October, and evidently they have now seen enough to convince them to
make a bid. It would be a massive vote of confidence for the
20-year-old, who only barely over six months ago was still suiting up
for Serie C1 side Cittadella.
No less an influential figure as Roberto Mancini is said to be
Rubin’s biggest advocate at the Giuseppe Meazza, and sees the youngster
as ideal cover for marauding Brazilian full-back Maxwell.
Inter have reportedly already made initial contact with Torino over
the Italy U-21 player, who is currently sidelined at least until March
with a knee ligament injury.
There is a disparity in the price that Torino would be willing to
sell at and what Inter are prepared to pay, however. Nerazzurri patron
Massimo Moratti is not willing to go over the 6m Euro-mark, while his
Torino counterpart Urbano Cairo is insisting on 9m Euro, despite only
paying a nominal fee when signing him from Cittadella just last summer.

Inter's Marco Materazzi and Milan's Clarence
Seedorf talked about Sunday's highly anticipated Milan derby, both of
them denying their teams are the favorites.
According to Inter defender Marco Materazzi, Milan are the favorites
to win next Sunday's derby, for the simple reason that they are the
World champions.
"The fact we are Italian champions, while they are the World
champions counts a lot," he said, "we'll have to show we are as good as
them. If we do, we'll have done well.
"Playing against the strongest team," he continued, "and having the
chance to show you're not inferior to them is very stimulating. I'm
convinced that we can play on the same level as them."
The reply from the Milan camp did not take long to come, and it came
through former Inter man Clarence Seedorf, who said: "At the moment
Inter are a very strong side, the strongest in Italy, perhaps in Europe.
"Our morale is sky-high at the moment, however, and we'll try to
give our best to bring home a victory against a very strong Inter side.

"We have three matches to recover after the Inter game," he
concluded, "but we still have some time to think about that. We have to
play a great match to take home an important result."

Del Piero: Inter Are The Strongest

Inter

The Bianconeri are having a fine campaign on their return to life in the top-flight and currently sit in third position.

However
their chances of winning the Scudetto have virtually disappeared given
the 10 point difference between them and unbeaten league-leaders Inter Milan.

“Inter are stronger than the other sides in Italy,” Del Piero confessed.

“They have a deep squad and they have consolidated the players that they have.

“The chance to face them in the Coppa Italia was a big stimulus to beat Empoli and now we want to give our all.”

Euro 2008

Del Piero has been in fine form recently, and has scored two crucial penalties in Juve’s last two matches against Catania and Empoli.

These excellent displays have led to calls that he should be recalled by Italy Coach Roberto Donadoni in time for this summer’s European Championships in Austria and Switzerland.

“Donadoni has total autonomy and freedom to make his own choices,” The Golden Boy stated.

“I
will just keep trying hard to show that I am in good form and hope that
I win an Azzurri shirt. Would I go to the Olympics in China? There’s a long time to think about that yet.

“Four
years ago people thought I was finished and that I didn’t have 90
minutes in my legs any longer. Now things are going well I like to
think about all the people who had faith in me. There has been a steady
improvement in my physical condition and I want to keep it up.”

Pato

Finally Del Piero passed judgement on the new teenage phenomenon of Serie A – Milan’s Alexandre Pato.

“Pato played well against Napoli, as did Ronaldo,” Del Boy declared. “But we also have an excellent attack and we are all at our best.

“Milan have so many great players and the race is on for the top four. I wish them all the best as long as we finish above them.”

Inter Line Up Quaresma
The 24-year-old is one of the best winger’s in European football, and
was easily Portugal’s best player during their 3-1 friendly defeat to
Italy on Wednesday evening.

Quaresma, who scored his country’s consolation, completely overshadowed the disappointing Cristiano Ronaldo on the night.

Inter
President Massimo Moratti was watching the game at home in order to
check the progress of Nuno Maniche, and he was hugely impressed by
Quaresma.

The Nerazzurri need to replace the retiring Luis
Figo at the end of the season, and Moratti has now put Quaresma at the
top of his list of possible solutions.

Porto are likely to demand a fee in the region of €18m, a sum that the oil tycoon would have no problem in paying.

Inter are not the only Italian team interested in signing Quaresma, as Fiorentina and Juventus have also been linked.

However
the Bianconeri are said to have pulled out of the running because Coach
Claudio Ranieri has doubts over the player’s temperament.

Another player who Inter are considering buying as a replacement for Figo is Tottenham Hotspur livewire Aaron Lennon.

The
20-year-old burst onto the scene a couple of years ago, however he has
failed to live up to his early promise in recent times.

Adriano In Chelsea Come-And-Get-Me Plea

Exiled Inter striker Adriano has told Chelsea that it would be a pleasure to play for them next season.

F.C Internazionale News Adriano438

The 26-year-old was
once one of the most devastating strikers in the world, before the
death of his father led to 18 months of terrible personal problems,
including depression and alcoholism.

Adriano travelled to
Brazil at the end of last year in order to receive rehabilitation for
his problems, and it was agreed that he would join Sao Paulo on loan
until the end of the European season.

He is due to return to Inter in June, but many believe that the club will then immediately sell him.

‘The Emperor’ has been linked to a number of European clubs, including Chelsea.

"It would be a pleasure to play for Chelsea,” declared Adriano.

"Chelsea are a great team in England and Drogba is an idol for them.

“However Inter hold my registration and President Massimo Moratti is the one who must decide what will be done."

Adriano has won 41 caps for the Brazil national team, scoring a highly impressive 27 goals.

Mourinho Takes Over At Inter – Report

According to
Portuguese sports daily 'A Bola', Jose Mourinho and Inter have come to
an agreement for the former Chelsea man to replace Roberto Mancini as
coach.

It was reported in the Italian press earlier today that
Mourinho had made up his mind that he wanted the job at Inter, but had issued
the club’s President Massimo Moratti a deadline of midnight tonight to make or
break the deal.

Moratti, who was said to be having second thoughts about whether or not to keep Roberto Mancini on, has now, according to A Bola, decided
that Mourinho is indeed his man.

The 45-year-old has apparently been handed a three-year
contract at San Siro, and will earn €9m per-season.

As part of the deal, Mourinho will immediately be allowed to
sign former players Frank Lampard from Chelsea,
and Deco from Barcelona,
while Luis Figo will be handed a one-year extension to his current contract that runs
out next month.

The Mancini era, which yielded three successive Scudetti
appears now to be over, although it must be noted that there is still no
official confirmation.
