Milan Without Pato Against Juve

AC Milan boss Carlo
Ancelotti's selection problems have worsened ahead of the vital match
against Juventus on Saturday, as Brazilian shooting star Alexandre Pato
will definitely have to miss out on the trip to Turin.

The 18-year-old was already forced to sit out last week’s 3-1 win over
Cagliari, and has now been completely omitted from the squad-list for a
match that could very well decide whether the San Siro giants will be
part of the Champions League next year.

“He has not trained at
all since last Thursday,” revealed the Rossoneri coach, who will
already have to due without the suspended Alessandro Nesta and Kakha
Kaladze, as well as Marek Jankulovski, Massimo Oddo and former Juventus
midfielder Emerson.

Juventus currently occupy third, six points
ahead of Milan, who simply cannot afford any more dropped points in
their bid to secure Champions League football next season.

Milan
squad: Dida, Fiori, Kalac, Bonera, Cafu, Digao, Favalli, Maldini,
Serginho, Simic, Ambrosini, Brocchi, Gattuso, Gourcuff, Kakà, Pirlo,
Seedorf, Gilardino, Inzaghi, Paloschi

Carlo Ancelotti was disappointed after
seeing Milan lose 3-2 away to Juventus, which was another setback in
the Rossoneri's hunt for a Champions League spot.

"Things are getting more complicated for us now, four
points in five games are difficult to recover, but we must try," said
the coach. "Will we support Inter [who host fourth-placed Fiorentina
tomorrow]? We'll see."

Ancelotti then analyzed the match: "In the first half
we did better, while in the second we tried to control things.
[Daniele] Bonera's sending off also influenced the game. He made a bad
foul. I got angry about the third goal, it wasn't a free kick for them,
only the linesman gave it.

"Not having ended the first half in the lead was only our own fault. Their second goal was offside? It's hard to say."
He went on to voice a degree of disapproval with the
seemingly imminent signing of Ronaldinho, suggesting the player is not
what is required for the team from a tactical perspective.
"I'm
not sure if tactically Ronaldinho is the best player for us, although
he's a great champion, technically skilled and very unpredictable.

"Sheva? He has the same characteristics as Pato, but I've never said I would be unhappy if he came back," he concluded

Flamini Pens Milan Deal - Report

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has already signed a deal with Milan according to Sky Sport Italia.

There has been much speculation over the player’s future and reports in Italy have suggested that the Frenchman was a prime target for Juventus.
However, it seems as if the Bianconeri have been beaten to the line
to sign Flamini by Milan following a a news report by Sky Sport Italia.
The 24-year-old has refused to pen a new deal with the Gunners and it
is believed that he was not happy with the package which was offered.
The player will arrive in July on a free transfer and Milan have
presented him with a better deal. Flamini will be earning €5.6 million
per season over a four year period.
Arsene Wenger was confident of keeping the player on at the Emirates but it now seems impossible.
“If it was down to just football then Flamini would stay, however it does not depend only on that,” said Wenger.
Milan need reinforcements for next season, especially if they are to
mount a serious bid for the title as well as the Champions League.
One down and two to go for the Rossoneri, as they continue to chase Gianluca Zambrotta and Ronaldinho from Barcelona.
