| UK Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson intends to make an offer of 22 million pounds for Tottenham’s striker Dimitar Berbatov on August 29 2007.
United will meet with strong resistance from Tottenham, Manchester Evening News said.
If Ferguson’s offer is rejected, he would have to wait until the end of the year to make a new offer because the transfer window in the UK closes on August 31.
After Berbatov’s impressive play in the match of Tottenham against United on August 26, a transfer of the striker in United would guarantee Ferguson motion of confidence by the team fans, the newspaper said.
Ferguson insisted on the transfer after his main player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ended his career, and Wayne Rooney sustained an injured. | |

| Tevez isnt a natural goal scorer, what he is, is a key goal scorer. He might only score 15-20 goals this season for Utd, but rest assure, those goals will be important. | Yeah apparently thats what he wants to do.
But if Utd offer a contract of 80 000 he's surely change his mind. ( he makes like 32k right now) | |

| Where would he go? Oviously a lot of teams would be interested in him, But he's got such a good partnership with Rooney, and with the club's succes this year, I can't see why he would leave, unless he really has a problem with English weather.... | |

| Yep, I can understand why someone would want to play for MAdrid, but he's with ManU for god's sake. One can argue that Madrid is a bigger club (which I'm prepared to debate against even if they're one of my favorite clubs after ManU) but at this time, it's hard to argue that ManU have better chance of succes in the short and middle run. | |
