Keane Sees Mourinho As Ideal England ManagerRoy Keane insists former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho would be an instant success as England manager.
Mourinho has emerged as the public’s favourite to be given the job,
whilst bookies have hotly tipped the Portuguese, along with Martin
O’Neill, for the role.
Remembered as a notorious firebrand as a player, Sunderland manager
Roy Keane didn’t hold back in his assessment of where it went wrong for
England in their appalling 3-2 defeat to Croatia.
Keane lambasted the national player’s for their over inflated egos,
but feels Mourinho is the ideal candidate to manipulate those ego’s to
England’s cause.
"Mourinho would do well - he has a big ego," he said in The Sun.
"He's a bloody good manager. He could handle the media, the egos. He would stroke the egos as he had to at Chelsea.
"He would take it away from the players. He is a clever man. A cute man. I could see him in that role for sure."
