According to cronacaqui.it, the
Bianconeri are on the verge of signing Sweden's new phenomenon, who has
been compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to his physical qualities.
According to reports coming from Italy, young Swedish attacking midfielder Albin Ekdal is in Turin for his medical.
If the negotiations - in their final stages - go through, and he is
cleared by the doctors, he will join the Italian giants next summer.
The move will not take place this winter in order to allow Ekdal
to finish his studies by May, but the paperwork is set to be completed
this week itself to ward off other big teams.

The 18-year-old,
who is 186cm tall, will join the Old Lady from IF Brommapokarna, where
he debut in April this year. He has played 15 games since.
Other clubs - including Inter, Arsenal, Ajax and PSV Eindhoven - are
also after his signature, but Turin seems to be his most likely
destination now.

The Bianconeri will pay the Swedish club just over 1 million euros.

that's pretty much offical. Last I heard he was just receiving treatment for an injury, so he hasn't been able to come to turin and sign any contracts. He'll most likely be sent away to empoli on loan.

With 15 games left, the Bianconeri are sitting in third place in the
table, however they are 12 points adrift of runaway leaders Inter.
The
Nerazzurri have a simply incredible record of 18 wins and five draws
from their 23 games, and had been looking unstoppable.
However
their performances have been less impressive since the turn of the
year, and on Tuesday night they suffered their first defeat in all
competitions for five months when they lost 2-0 at Liverpool in their
Champions League last 16 first leg tie.

"Liverpool demonstrated that the Nerazzurri are not unbeatable,” Zoff and Furino said in an interview with Leggo.

“It is unlikely that they can continue at this insane rate.

“Juve must give everything they have got, but there is a hope. It is only small but it is there.”

Former
goalkeeper Zoff is most famous for captaining Italy to the 1982 World
Cup at the age of 40 but he also wore the Juventus shirt from 1972 to
1983.

Furino was captain of the Bianconeri for over a decade
during 15 years in Turin, and holds the record for the most Scudetti
won by a single player; eight.

Juventus are challenging Inter Milan for Schalke midfield whiz Ivan Rakitic.Inter have already registered their interest
with Schalke for the 19 year-old after director Marco Branca was in
Germany last week to open talks. However, Juve are also keen and had scouts in the stands to watch Rakitic in action against Porto on Tuesday night.Meanwhile, AC Milan legend Zvonimir Boban said of the midfielder: "He reminds me a lot of a young Dejan Stankovic."

Anyway, coming from Serie B, and with all the playes they've had to sell a year ago, they should be considered for team of the year (if such an award exists) with the performance they've had this year. Maybe hardcore fans saw them as title contenders, but after having sold Thuram, Cannavaro, Ibra, Emerson,Zambrotta,Viera, and all the others a year before, finishing third in serie A is a fantastic accomplishment.

Sissoko wil blossom in Juve. 3 or 4 good additions will do it. Problem is Juve doesn't have younger players coming through or pursued. too many old faces

so I'm guessing you've never seen giovinco, marchisio, de cegile or ekdal play? Not to mention criscito, lanzafame, pasquato, and rossi are all being loaned out this year. All of which are some of italy's most promising youngsters. So, your comment couldn't of been more wrong.
