| Benazir Bhutto 'killed in blast'Pakistani former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has been killed in a presumed suicide attack, a military spokesman has announced on TV.Earlier reports said Ms Bhutto had only been injured and taken to hospital. Ms Bhutto had just addressed a pre-election rally in the town of Rawalpindi when the bomb went off. At least 15 other people are reported killed in the attack and several more were injured. Ms Bhutto had twice been the country's prime minister. She was campaigning ahead of elections due in January. 'She expired'The explosion occurred close to an entrance gate of the park in Rawalpindi where Ms Bhutto had been speaking. The blast caused carnage at the rally
| PPP spokesman Farhatullah Babar initially said that Ms Bhutto was safe. But later he told the BBC that Ms Bhutto had died. Another member of the PPP, Wasif Ali Khan, told the Associated Press news agency from the Rawalpindi General Hospital: "At 6:16 pm (1316 GMT) she expired." Ms Bhutto returned from self-imposed exile in October after years out of Pakistan where she had faced corruption charges. Her return was the result of a power-sharing agreement with President Musharraf in which he granted an amnesty that covered the court cases she was facing. Since her return relations with Mr Musharraf have broken down. On the day of her return she led a motor cavalcade through the city of Karachi. It was hit by a double suicide attack that left some 130 dead. The PPP has the largest support in the country. Earlier on Thursday at least four people were killed ahead of an election rally that Pakistan's former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was preparing to attend close to Rawalpindi. | |

| yeah... sounds like a plot to a new movie ;p dont you sometimes feel like theres a lot "more" happening in the world that the news isnt aware of or telling us? i feel like the world is too big for a bunch of news channels to completely cover i dont believe politicians.. all they do is promise and deliver shit. news is good for reporting natural disasters... cuz you know no man was behind that. or is there!! | |

| Actually, you might not be far off. The US and UK use this satellite called 'Echelon' which monitors all electronic communications - text messages, internet, phone calls etc. It picks up key words such as 'bomb' 'Washington DC' 'plan' etc. | |

| nothing is in the world that could let you cheer up or smile..maybe get surprised and upset only ! The key word is corruption, its like a disease and in my opinion worse than any other dis. Dr.s and technology always solve human problems and make humans either live more or die peacefully. Well, if people have general principles and co op with general standards just like for example Iso standards and many variety of differnt fields we would have lived in a peacefull world at least societies. and never end up in wars and shit on news. When I open the news especially my freinds and I all wait for the sports section. Why??? b/c nothing is intresting, either lies of future events or sad facts in the past. Corruption in My opinion has a soul and a heart, many people belive its the devil him self who keeps reviving corruption or any bad things happen to this world. If you look closely at all religions and even with people who dont belive in anything there are always corrupted people, where the corruption ate their souls day by day, and when some one try to stop this flow he becomes an enemy instead of an angel. I've always watched the news and got fed up with whats going on in the world, b/c I always link them back to corruption. What I see now is that no matter how people get raised from their parents through : morality, ethics, right Vs wrong..the human nature is always greedy = power = corruption. Belive me, 90 % of the world who gets control of power loose their selves and get corrupted in the process of staying in power. | |

| LOOOL
theres a difference between watching the news, and believing everything you hear in the news.
you watch the news to know what's going on, and not to formulate an opinion.
eg. news: theres a war in iraq. people are dying. FACT.
news: who is in charge, whos to blame, why is this happening? when will it end? OPINION. | |

| no i havent... should i? and im not saying everything is a conspiracy.. im just saying that i dont blieve politicians tell us the whole story.. i think a lot in the world is happening, and ppl THINK they know whats going around by just clicking through news channels. but do news channels cover everything? i dont think so. i think thats what JB was trying to say... theres a lot of corruption in the world. we need a savior. we demand lower prices for ps3 and 360 games. we have to have faster broadband connections | |
